Cursed Relic
spirit · Tier 4 · 6,400 souls active VerifiedPreviously called Curse. Guides using the old name are out of date.
What it does
Curses a single enemy: it interrupts them, silences them, disarms them, blocks item use and strips all their non-ultimate buffs. Nothing else in the game removes an enemy from a fight so completely — but holding it costs you damage.
Numbers: 3.25s curse (interrupt, Silence, Disarm, item lockout, removes non-ultimate buffs) plus a 0.3s stun and heavy slow; 20m cast range, 55s cooldown; -25% of your own damage while the curse runs
Buy it when
Buy to shut down one enemy carry or to cancel a game-deciding ultimate outright.
Skip it when
It applies a damage penalty to you while held and active, so a pure damage carry pays a real price for it.
Gotchas
The mechanics people most often get wrong about this item.
- Since 30 Jan 2026 it no longer grants weapon damage and instead applies an 8% total damage penalty while held; it also lost its spirit resist and health bonuses
- Voice lines still refer to the old name Curse
Problems it answers
- Channelled ultimates — “Their ultimate wins the fight on its own.”
- Burst damage — “I die before I can react.”
- Sustained gun damage — “Their gun grinds me down in a long fight.”
- Sustained spirit damage — “Their abilities chip me down constantly.”
- Backline assassination — “Their carry deletes my squishies.”
