Spread out once she has her ultimate at T3; the 7m group swap is only devastating against a clustered team.
Paradoxical Swap yanks you out of your team and drops you alone next to hers, for 150 spirit-scaling damage, from up to 13m further away at T2 than you expect.
The standard pattern is a pre-placed Pulse Grenade and then a swap into it — you arrive already inside expanding pulses that stack a damage amp against you.
Kinetic Carbine is a full time-stop on hit, so a landed charged shot means every one of her teammates gets a free window on you.
Time Wall deletes your projectiles and silences you for 2.3s on contact at T2, so channelled ultimates and casts simply do not happen through it.
At Paradoxical Swap T3 she swaps everyone within 7m of the target and adds 10% max health damage — grouping up becomes a liability against her.
Time Wall first. It is her anti-dive and her projectile shield; force it with a feint and then commit, because with it down she has no way to stop a gap-close.
Kinetic Carbine second — make her release an uncharged shot for the reduced 10% minimum, which both wastes the damage and puts the time-stop on a 28s cooldown.
Pulse Grenade third: make her use it as wave clear or as a panic self-peel rather than as the pre-placed damage zone the swap combo needs.
Bait Paradoxical Swap by putting a durable hero in an apparently-isolated position; a swap spent on your tank rather than your carry is a wasted ultimate.
Immediately after Paradoxical Swap, when she is standing alone in the position your team was covering, with only a T1 barrier between her and death.
The Kinetic Carbine charge window — she is committed to an aim line, moving predictably, and cannot use her gun.
Time Wall on cooldown before T3 grants extra charges; she has no other tool to stop a projectile or a dive.
Any moment she is inside gap-close range with no Pulse Grenade down — she has no sustain, no escape ability and 730 HP.
The full 95s Paradoxical Swap cooldown before T2 reduces it; she is a poke-and-zone hero with no pick potential for that entire period.
Paradoxical Swap exchanges positions with a hit enemy, pulling them out of safety and into her team.
Layered control — time slow, Silence and a full time-stop across three different abilities.
Time Wall halts enemy projectiles and doubles as a damage amp for her team.
Anti-carry: she can extract an enemy carry from their own backline into hers, or remove a diver from her own.
Kinetic Carbine scaling off weapon damage means her gun and ability builds reinforce rather than compete.
Weak to
The 09-16-2026 patch cut Kinetic Carbine's minimum damage multiplier from 25% to 10%, punishing anything but a fully-held charge.
Zero sustain and low durability; she loses any fight she cannot control from range.
Paradoxical Swap puts her where the enemy was — a mistimed swap is a suicide button.
Every important thing she does is a skillshot (grenade placement, carbine, swap projectile), so good movement punishes her.
In lane, good at
A 40-round burst-fire clip gives her good lane staying power without frequent reloads.
Pulse Grenade denies the trooper wave and the orb contest simultaneously, and the stacking amp punishes anyone who stands in it to farm.
Time Wall blocks an entire projectile-based laning duo's damage and lets her partner shoot through it at +35% at T2.
In lane, weak to
No self-healing at all — she has no way to recover from a losing trade except leaving lane.
730 HP with no defensive layer until Paradoxical Swap T1's barrier, so a committed dive kills her.
Kinetic Carbine needs a charge window she rarely gets against an aggressive laner, and after the 09-16-2026 nerf an uncharged shot is nearly worthless.
Time Wall T2 (mid game) — 2.3s Silence plus +35% friendly weapon damage make the wall an offensive and control tool as well as a defensive one.
Paradoxical Swap T2 — -30s cooldown and +13m cast range let her swap from safety and use the ultimate more often.
Paradoxical Swap T3 (late 40min+) — The 7m group swap plus +10% max health damage converts her ultimate into a full teamfight dislocation.

Pulse Grenade
Ability 1 · Thrown Grenade with Repeating Expanding Pulses
A grenade that sticks where it lands and then pulses repeatedly. Each pulse covers a wider radius, deals Spirit Damage, slows time for anyone caught, and stacks a damage amplification that Paradox herself benefits from against those targets.
Purpose: Her area denial and her damage setup. The stacking amp is the key: anyone who stays in the grenade takes progressively more damage from her, so it pairs with a swap or a carbine shot rather than being thrown alone.
Damage
35 base pulse damage. T2 adds +20 pulse damage with increased spirit scaling; T3 adds +4% damage amp and +1.6s duration. 32s cooldown.
Crowd control
Time slow on each pulse — a movement slow that compounds while you remain inside.
Defensive
Thrown at her own feet it is a real anti-dive tool, slowing anyone who commits onto her.
How to play against it
Leave immediately on the first pulse. Both the radius and the damage amp grow, so the cost of staying is non-linear — the third second is far worse than the first.
The grenade is stationary and clearly visible on the ground; do not path through the area she has already seeded.
If she has it down and you are outside it, that is the moment to engage her directly — it is her main zoning tool on a 32s cooldown.
Interactions
Her core pattern is swapping enemies into a waiting Pulse Grenade — the grenade is placed first, the swap delivers the target.
The expanding radius means standing at the edge is not safe for long; the punished area grows each pulse.
deadlock.io recommends placing it on escape routes rather than on the current position of a target.
Upgrade tiers
T1: -12s cooldown.
T2: +20 pulse damage with increased spirit scaling.
T3: +4% damage amp, +1.6s duration.
Time Wall
Ability 2 · Deployable Projectile-Freezing Wall with Friendly Bullet Buff
Paradox raises a wall of warped time that halts every enemy bullet and projectile that touches it, while speeding up and empowering friendly bullets passing through. Enemies who make contact are briefly slowed and silenced.
Purpose: A two-way tool: it is total projectile immunity for her side and a damage amp for her team's shooting, plus a Silence on anyone who walks into it. It works as anti-dive and siege tool at once.
Damage
No direct damage. T2 grants +35% weapon damage to friendly bullets passing through.
Crowd control
Brief slow plus a Silence on contact (2.3s Silence at T2).
Defensive
Stops enemy bullets and projectiles outright — against a projectile-heavy team it is close to an invulnerability window for whoever stands behind it.
How to play against it
Walk around it rather than through it — the Silence and slow only apply on contact, and its width is finite even at T1.
Melee range and close-quarters pressure ignore the projectile-blocking entirely; a shotgun hero standing on her side of the wall is unaffected.
Do not fire into it. Every bullet stopped is free value for her; hold fire and reposition to an angle the wall does not cover.
Displacement (pulling her through or past her own wall) makes it useless.
Interactions

T3's +2 charges let her wall two angles or re-wall mid-fight.
It does not stop melee the way it stops bullets and projectiles, so read how the enemy actually deals damage before relying on it.

T2: 2.3s Silence duration, +35% weapon damage for friendly bullets.
T3: +2 ability charges.
Kinetic Carbine
Ability 3 · Chargeable Shot with a Time-Stop on Hit
Paradox winds up a round of condensed time energy that deals Spirit Damage and freezes whoever it hits in place. She moves faster while charging, and charging in the air slows her descent.
Purpose: Her hard pickup. A landed carbine is a full stop, which makes it her primary combo enabler. The time-stop, not the damage, is the ability.
Damage
Damage scales with weapon damage investment rather than being a flat spirit value; deadlock.one's listed base values appear unreliable and are not reproduced here. T3 adds +55% damage scaling.
Crowd control
A time-stop on the target — functionally a Stun. Duration not sourced.
Mobility
+25% move speed while charging, and charging while airborne slows her fall.
Defensive
The move speed while charging lets her back out of a bad position while still threatening the shot.
How to play against it
It is a charged skillshot with a visible wind-up and an audible cue. Break line of sight during the charge and she either loses the shot or fires it uncharged for 10% damage after the 09-16-2026 nerf.
Strafe unpredictably while she is charging; the projectile has travel time and she must lead you.
Force her to fire early by threatening her — a charged carbine she cannot safely hold is a wasted 28s cooldown.
Interactions
The standard combo is Pulse Grenade placed, Kinetic Carbine to freeze the target inside it.
She must hold the charge.
T3's +2s charge hold duration lets her keep it primed while repositioning.
Upgrade tiers
T2: -12s cooldown, increased speed scaling.
T3: +2s charge hold duration, +55% damage scaling.
Paradoxical Swap
Ultimate · Targeted Projectile That Exchanges Positions
Paradox fires a bolt that, on hitting an enemy hero, trades her position with theirs.
Purpose: A displacement ultimate. It removes an enemy from safety and drops them into her team, or removes a diver from on top of her ally and puts them somewhere useless.
Damage
150 damage, scaling with Spirit Power. 95s base cooldown, -30s at T2.
Crowd control
The displacement itself is the control effect — there is no Stun attached at base.
Mobility
It relocates her to the target's position, which is simultaneously a gap-close and a serious positional risk.
Defensive
T1 grants a 200 barrier for 8s that scales with spirit, which is what stops her from dying instantly after swapping into an enemy group.
How to play against it
It is a travelling projectile, not an instant target lock — sidestep it or break line of sight and a 95s ultimate is gone.
After the swap SHE is standing where you were, usually alone next to your team. Turn and kill her rather than panicking about your new position.
Do not stand in her Pulse Grenade's likely landing zone; the swap is only lethal because of what she swapped you into.
At T3 the 7m group swap punishes clustering — spread out when she has ultimate up.
Interactions
The canonical combo is Pulse Grenade thrown first, then swap a target into it.
It also works as a counter-dive tool: swapping the diver out of your backline pulls them off your allies.
T2's +13m cast range lets her swap from behind her own frontline instead of stepping into range.
deadlock.io warns that the swap puts HER where the enemy was; a swap without an exit plan is how Paradox players die.
Upgrade tiers
T1: 200 barrier for 8s (scales with Spirit).
T2: -30s cooldown, +13m cast range.
T3: swaps all enemies within 7m of the hit target, +10% max health damage.

Paradox's win rate by game length
Paradox gets stronger the longer the game goes: 43.0% in games under 25 minutes (#39 of 44), 48.5% in games past 40 (#29 of 44). Worth knowing: the tag at the top says "Mid Game", but on this patch the long games are where Paradox pulls ahead of other heroes.

"vs usual" is against Paradox's 47.0% over all these games. Faded rows have under 1,000 games, where a few percent either way is noise; under 300, no win rate is shown.
Each point is how often Paradox won games that ended at that length, not the chance of winning at that minute.
Short games are usually one-sided, so the left side is about closing out a lead and the right side about long, close games.

Sources and confidence for this record
Record confidence: Strong evidence. Compiled for patch 10-30-2026, researched 2026-10-30.
Difficulty rating: deadlock.io classifies Paradox as 'Hard Burst Fire' and a Disruptor/Tactician whose swap punishes poor planning; the site notes she must evaluate her exit position before committing.
